Understanding the whole business. Moving the right work forward.
I’m Ross McWhirter, founder of WRTH.
My background combines innovation programme delivery, systems thinking and human-centred design. I work with leadership teams to understand complex challenges, make informed decisions and put practical solutions into action.
At Expo City Dubai’s Urban Lab, I led city-scale testbed initiatives exploring how new technologies could work in real environments. At Connected Places Catapult, I designed and delivered international innovation programmes and helped embed people’s needs into project design and delivery.
Earlier roles at The Bakery and Digital Catapult involved corporate innovation, proof-of-concept projects and advanced digital technology programmes.
That experience shapes how I work: consider the wider system, understand the people involved, test assumptions and establish a clear route to delivery.
Through WRTH, I bring that approach to fractional COO support and focused projects. Depending on your needs, I can work alongside your team on an ongoing basis or lead a defined piece of work with agreed deliverables.
I hold a Master of Design in Design Innovation & Citizenship from The Glasgow School of Art and a BA (Hons) in Sociology and Criminology from the University of Stirling.
